With a nod to South Africa's Rainbow Nation, this team of 9 women celebrate this nation's colourful diversity and unique character by crafting products to match. The team has embarked on a meaningful and significant journey to discover, appreciate and grow together.
One of the projects undertaken by the team during 2017 was for each crafter to design their own pair of straps. Bili Beadwear founder and managing member, Lindsay Fisher, sat with each lady to think through the design process. They created their own templates, combined their own colour schemes thereby unlocking their own creative talents. Each lady wears her own creation enabling a first hand experience of our product.

Team Leader Nosiphiwo Nzolwane
Nosiphiwo and her husband Nikelo are the proud parents of 4 children. Nosi grew up in Willowvale in the Eastern Cape and treasures her relationship with her mum, Novoti. Nosiphiwo wants to share her love of God and also educate her children so they may learn to think well. She loves expressing her creativity through beadwork and looks to grow with the business.
Nosintu is mum to 3 children and her husband is a carpenter. She has a big heart for family coming from one of 8 siblings who grew up in Ggcobo. She has a love of music, Malibongwe Hlengiwe is a favourite and her graceful beading skills make doing the craft look so easy.
When asked about herself, Noluthando says that she is a child of God, she holds Psalm 91 dear to her heart. Noluthando has 2 children whom she adores and to whom she is devoted. Her other interests include baking and singing. She claims to not be a good singer yet does not mind what it sounds like to others in Church, she sings out loud!
Philiswa is one of Nosintu's sisters and is mum to 2 children, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Philiswa prays for the opportunity to send her children to school, to buy a home and to live in decent rooms. She loves attending Church, she stands on a strong faith and seeks God's direction to help her achieve her goals. She enjoys working and as can be seen in her straps, colour is important in this lady's life.
Ntombifikele hails from Umtata in the Eastern Cape and is mum to a gorgeous 4 year old daughter. Ntombifikele loves working with her hands, her job makes her happy and in her spare time she plants, mainly spinach and tomatoes. As noticed in her straps pictured below, pink is her favourite colour. This lady has a knack of making people laugh.
Nobubele designed a pair of straps that holds a special significance to her. She is a quiet and confidential member of our team whose dedication to skills development and quality work has made her a valuable member.
Lindsay has a heart for God and hands for her country. She is a mum to 3 wonderful teenagers, Meg, Joe and Cara and loves family. Bili Beadwear offers the opportunity for her to develop and grow to become the best she can be. Relationships are key and Lindsay seeks to build long lasting ones.
